Finding that life/training balance is challenging. Finding a way to continue to grow and progress as a Human is critical to progressing within your training, and isn’t always about rest and recovery and nutrition. Learning requires integrity, and discipline, and often a healthy dose of fear. Intentionally placing yourself into situations that challenge your skill, your focus and your ability to keep cool is absolutely necessary in order to keep those tools sharp. And finding ways to sharpen those tools outside of the gym where the consequences of failure aren’t quite as risky, will allow you to apply those same tools in your training.
